Having enjoyed success early on when he won a songwriting scholarship from Sony Music Aust. while he attended the coveted Talent Development Project in Sydney. Josh got to write and record 2 tracks with renowned producer Matt Fell and work with some of the countries best session musicians including James Gillard, Shanley Dell, Shane Flew and Stuart French to name a few.. He graduated the TDP after performing solo in-front of thousands for the Schools Spectacular. Josh slipped into a groove with some close muso friends and wrote a few tracks soon to be recorded with Daniel Jones of Savage Garden. He and Dan struck up a friendship and working relationship that is still going strong to this day.
After recording his first 4 track EP at his home studio, Dan approached Josh to be a part of a new original music initiative by surf giant Quiksilver, and the two set to work on some new recordings for them to use in their surf videos. The release of the 'Feel' EP followed shortly after. Through this, Josh gained some international success and a host of new fans and was invited to celebrate surfer Kelly Slater's birthday and invitational surf contest in Hawaii. There, he was joined by a host of world-class musicians and surfers invited by MTV and Quiksilver, and even got to jam with the likes of G-Love, the guys from Incubus and Foo Fighters!
Since then Josh has recorded another EP called 'This Time' that was written while on a surf/music trip also commissioned by Quiksilver.
Josh is currently working on some new material in his home studio, colaborating with some new and some old muso friends on the north coast of NSW. Inspired by love, friendship, his new family and the ocean, it's sure to be a huge step for the kid from Byron Bay.
