About Us
North Coast Entertainment is based in beautiful Byron Bay on the north coast of N.S.W. But for over 14 years, Josh Boots has been playing live music all over the east coast of Australia and overseas.
From
humble beginnings in his hometown of Byron, Josh has progressed into
the fully-fledged musician he is today.
Coming
from a musical family, and encouraged to follow his dreams of playing live
music, he honed his craft in the city after moving to the northern beaches of
Sydney. He has many accolades to date, some of which include performances at the
Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Entertainment Centre and numerous high profile
fundraisers, gala dinners and product launches for celebrities like Elle
McPherson, Greg Norman and Kelly Slater.
Since
moving to Sydney, after attending the culture rich Byron High School, Josh formed acoustic duo 'King Boots' with fellow duo partner Simon King of band 'Costa Rae'. The two became well known in Sydney for their style of original acoustic rock and played many shows all over the northern beaches and throughout Sydney. Later on Josh formed the now very successful wedding
and function duo ‘Acoustic Moose’ in the Hunter Valley with his brother and
local Newcastle singer, Mick Fetch. Since
then (2002) the boys have performed at numerous functions, specializing in
weddings, all up and down the east coast of NSW. In 2004, the pair won 'Best Wedding Entertainment - Ceremony and Reception' at the 10 Carat, Wedding Industry Awards in Newcastle.
The
duos’ success was due to many factors, but foremost because they created
‘custom designed performances’, based on what each couple specifically wanted
for their day.
Since Josh left the duo in 2007, Acoustic Moose has gone on to become one of the most successful wedding
duos in the Hunter with the addition of guitarist Kevin O'Hara.
Taking with him that successful formula, in 2009 Josh returned home to Byron Bay and started North Coast Entertainment. A company based on providing the best quality live musicians at an affordable price.
